In a recent workshop at the Namibian Children Home in Windhoek I placed a stone in our circle and asked people to share in pairs, stone stories. Such an elemental prompt gathered from the yard in the Children’s home, enegised the room as stories shot from the catapults of memory – village games, pet rocks, corner stones, head stones, tools, weapons, worry stones, skipping stones across water, stone ground flour…
